Surface is a design driven brand dedicated to elevating the functional performance and quality of swimwear and watersports clothing. We believe the best gear should work so well you barely notice it. Every element is engineered for speed, comfort, and durability. Our goal is to help you focus entirely on moments in the water.
Technology
We see watersports as the next frontier for innovation in materials and design. Drawing inspiration from beyond the swimwear world, we push the limits of what gear can do. Every piece is backed by research, tested in real conditions, and built to enhance your experience in the water.
Community
The ocean connects us, and we want more people to experience its power. Our goal at Surface is to break down barriers that keep people from the water. Through shared sports, adventures, and gatherings, we build a strong and supportive community. This community also plays a role in protecting the places we love.
Sustainability
Balancing performance and sustainability is a constant challenge, but one we embrace. Our materials are primarily recycled and our packaging materials are 100% biodegradable. We are always working to find better materials that meet both our standards and environmental goals. We also support ocean conservation by donating to groups like Greenpeace and the Surfrider Foundation.

Material sourcing, testing, and construction refinement began, focusing on bonded seams, technical fabrics, and crossover functionality.

Launch of the Evolution Line
The first collection introduced premium technical swimwear engineered for movement across water and land.

Community Validation and Direct-to-Consumer Growth
Expanded beyond product launch through popups and collaborations with outdoor and wellness communities, while building a direct-to-consumer presence and securing $75,000 CAD in growth capital to accelerate development and distribution.

Retail Expansion and Product Evolution
Secured first retail placement at Tality Wellness Mount Pleasant with multi-location partnership underway, alongside two new colourways and development of a one-piece swimsuit.
