Tality Wellness started as a founder's frustration. Peter Chen wanted a proper sauna and ice-cold plunge he could use every week. So he built it. First as a backyard operation behind a kombucha brewery in North Van, now across multiple locations in BC. Cedar sauna, 8°C cold plunges, bottomless kombucha on tap. The vibe is functional and social. The people there are the same ones you'd see at the trailhead on a Saturday morning.
I found out about it the way I've been connecting with a lot of new people this past year. On a run. Friday morning, Tality Run Club. Talked to Peter somewhere in the middle of it, two founders complaining about the same things founders complain about. Turns out he'd already seen Surface. Said it looked like a good alignment. He was right.
Starting now, a selection of Surface suits are available at the Tality Shipyards location in North Vancouver. They're carrying the Triangle Top, Sport Top, Sport Bottom, and Thong in orange and blue. The suit is lightweight enough that you barely notice it in the sauna. And if you're doing the Friday run first, you can strip off your shorts and shirt at the end and walk straight in. No change required.
